SuperVirals Pty Ltd (referred to below as "SuperVirals", "we" or "us") respects your data privacy. We will comply with the National Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) in the way that we handle any information that can be used to identify you ("personal information").

1. How we will collect your personal information

Before you can vote, make a comment or contribute content for publication on the SuperVirals website (the "Website"), you will have to register and become an Account Holder of the Website. Registration will involve completing an online form found on the Website where you will be asked to provide some personal information about yourself.

You will also be required to come up with your own username and password. If your application is successful, a user account will be created for you and you will be able to use your username and password to log into your 'My Account' section on the Website, submit a content idea into a competition or make a comment on the other content ideas on the Website.

Unless you provide all of the personal information required at the registration stage, we will not be able to process your application and as a result you will not be able to access and use some of the special features of the Website

  • if we choose to, identifying you as the author or creator of any content submitted by you which we publish on the Website;
  • if you become eligible to win any prize referred to on the Website for any creative content submitted by you, identifying you to third parties as the winner of that prize, and
  • providing you with any other services or products or information that you may request.

In the process of providing these services to you, we may disclose your personal information to other SuperVirals entities or to third parties including those based overseas. This includes disclosure to third party contractors that provide services to us including web hosting, archival, auditing, email delivery, technology and security services. In doing so, we will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that those third parties take steps to handle your personal information consistently with the National Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We will only use your personal information for other non-related purposes if we have your consent to do so.

We will use reasonable technical and security measures to ensure your personal information is stored securely.
